She pinched Hope's cheeks.
"Is she dead?" Lizzie asked.
"No, sweetie." Caroline told her, "She's just in transition."
"Now, can we go see Dad!?" Hope was impatient.
"Why not?" Hayley smiled.
Caroline opened the door of the Mikaelson Compound. It creaked. Klaus and Elijah appeared out of the balcony. They looked down.
"Hope, Caroline?"
"Hayley?"
"What are you doing here?"
Klaus jumped from the balcony, Elijah shook his head, and took the stairs.
"What are you doing here?" He asked.
"Since you two were taking so long, we took things in our own hands!" Caroline smiled.
"Your diabolical girlfriend made the plan, and saved you two!"
"Is that so?" Elijah beamed.
Klaus was holding Caroline by her waist.
"That's my girl."
Caroline smiled.
Everything went smoothly for a few months. Finn Mikaelson had gotten off grid, and no matter how much Elijah tried to tell him that danger was still on the prowl. He was in Mystic Falls. For the first time in his life, he was calm, easy, and he was living like a human. But he was enjoying every minute of it.
Caroline was extremely busy, with the school, the wedding and her children.
Klaus really didn't care what color the flowers were, or how much money would go in this wedding. But he was really happy to see Caroline being happy in planning the wedding.
Almost three days before the wedding, she was standing in the florist shop.
"I thought I told you white lilies." She told him, "Pairing up with light pink roses, three whites with one pink."
"No….You said red with white." The florist said rudely. "Both roses."
"But I have the message I sent you!" She told him.
"No….You did not!" He snapped at Caroline, "And what are you doing getting married at seventeen!"
Caroline exchanged looks with Klaus, he was looking very angry.
"Klaus….Don't!" She started to say.
Klaus had pinned the florist to the wall.
"If she says, she said white lilies and little pink roses!" He hissed at him, "It was the white and the pink flowers…..!"
"Klaus….let him go…"
"How dare you call her a liar!?" Caroline couldn't push him back.
"I get it….it was pink and white." He croaked. "Lilies and roses."
"After three consecutive lilies." Klaus hissed back.
"After three consecutive lilies." The florist croaked again.
Klaus let him go, and he crashed on the floor. Three other people in the shop stared at Klaus and Caroline. He compelled the other people, and went outside.
"See, I told you. I listen to you talk about the wedding." Klaus smirked.
"Klaus?" Caroline was angry. "You cannot do this!?"
"What?" Klaus asked. He looked innocent. "What did I do?"
"Seriously?" Caroline stared at him, angrily. "You cannot threaten anyone who has a conflict with me!"
"What am I supposed to do?" Klaus demanded,
"You ignore them, Klaus!"
She shook her head. And went the other way. Klaus followed her.
"Caroline….!" He almost shouted, people looked at them on the street. "It was just a joke!"
Caroline slammed the door behind her, and Klaus came inside.
"I can't believe you were mad about that!"
"I can't believe you would do that!
"You know I have done a lot worse in the last thousand years!"
"And I thought you had changed for the better!"
They yelled at each other.
"Why are you fighting!?" Hope Mikaelson appeared out of her bedroom. She was going back to New Orleans to Hayley and Elijah for a week. She was packing.
She was scared, and she started crying.
"I am sorry, honey!" She told her.
Klaus looked at Caroline, to Hope and shook his head softly, and left the room.
"Klaus?" Caroline said softly. "Klaus!" She shouted, as she heard the door open, and close.
He had left the house.
"What's happening?" Hope was sad,a s she approached Caroline, and sat on the couch. "Are you going to break up?"
She asked.
"No….Honey!" She told her, "It's just a fight. A stupid fight!" She sighed, as she threw herself on the couch.
Hayley was knocking on the door,
"Come in!" Caroline shouted.
Hayley came inside.
"What happened?" She asked. "How's my little sweetheart? She tapped Hope's head, "Why so sad?"
She looked from Hope to Caroline.
"Come on, Caroline!" She sat with her, "Tell me what's wrong?"
Hayley turned to her daughter,
"Hope, sweetheart, why don't you see if you have everything you need?" Hope disappeared from the room.
Caroline sighed, and told her everything. From the florist till the fight.
"Oh…..Caroline!" Hayley sighed, "Listen to me!"
"Okay…"
"Caroline!" She turned towards Caroline, she was focused, and serious. "Hope has changed Klaus, you have changed Klaus." She told Caroline. "But he is not a saint."
Caroline nodded,
"Klaus is different than when you met him a few years ago."
Caroline nodded again.
"Don't try to change him more than he can!" Hayley told her, "Cut him some slack."
She nodded the third time.
"I understand." She said, "I think!"
