Cas stopped himself from shifting into his base form. It would be ill timing for him to appear naked just to run and find a piece of paper.

Arian was where Cas had left him. He barked with as much base form speech as he could manage: ‘Paper!’

Without waiting to see if the anxious pup obeyed, Cas lurched forward to put himself between Shani and Katriel. He snarled at his father through the mind link, 'What the f*ck are you doing here?’

Katriel huffed a laugh, lashing his tail. “The rose and I made a deal. I lead him to her’—he jerked his nose at Shani—‘and then he takes me to Sola. Sorry,’ he sneered, his telepathic voice as cruelly amused as the look in his gold eyes, ‘I meant Rossie.’
