“So the Alpha seems cool,” Landon began as he watched Mila’s face.

Mila instantly had an awkward look. Carlos and Isla paid their full attention to her. Mila facepalmed. Of all times to lose her composure, it had to be now.

“Yeah, he’s a very caring leader. Very protective of his pack.”

Isla snorted. “Spill the tea. I know there’s a ‘but’ there.”

“Well, things have not been rosy at White Claw. I mean, it’s a walk in the park compared to here, but damn. Until recently, I thought he hated me.”

Carlos leaned in. “What do you mean?”

“What do you mean until recently?” Landon chimed in.

Mila sighed. It was time to come fully clean with her friends. “So, the Alpha has a chosen mate. Her name is Sloane. She’s a lot like Amber.”

“How is she like your eldest sister?” Isla asked. “Coz your sister is a mean bitch, petty as eff, and wants everything for herself.”
