Bab 40: Chapter 40: Bluffing

Adeline’s POV

Zale had been sleeping for more than eleven hours by the time I woke up the next morning.

We had migrated from his living room to his bedroom, which seemed like a living room itself with the size of it, and he had quickly fallen asleep on the bed the minute my pheromones began doing their work.

I tried not to let myself think too much about how we had ended up here, but the scene was so vivid and clear in my head I wondered if I would ever forget it.

I detached myself from him as I put my feet on the ground. The coolness of the hardwood floor felt great on my warm feet. I didn’t want to wake him up and disturb him so I left his hotel and hurried back to the solitude of our apartment to get ready for my day at school.
