"The official lady?" Chiaki raised her eyebrows.

She was surprised at the spun tale in the kitchen. How quick could it be for somebody to see a beautiful lady marching with her troops to the mansion and immediately twist a tale that she would marry Lance Hua and seize the official lady position from Chiaki?

Or, her insecurity creeping in, was there a secret deal she didn't know?

This wasn't good. Chiaki wasn't good with judging and feeling her intuition. As the wife, it was normal that she felt this insecurity when any gossip was heard about her husband, especially when she couldn't attend the court to see it by herself.

"Tell me, do we have someone to monitor the court? You girls can't go there, I can't go there, either. So how could I have the correct information and not just based on hearsay from the kitchen ladies?"
