Bab 27: Lance is the Co-driver Now

Chiaki looked for Lance Hua who was found crouching to observe a chunk of obsidian at the eye level. Holding back mentally from rolling her eyes, she called him.

"I need your help." Mustering up her courage, she continued, "I can't focus my energy. The triskele won't form." She used her normal professional tone so as not to sound whiny in front of this lord.

Why did he act like jobless here? As the Lord of the Northern Region, was this how he supposed to act?

Now, don't blame me if his bloodthirsty clan leaders upturned his government in the north overnight. Look at this indolent ruler, what does he do exactly lazing around in the Crystal Garden? If ruling a region is this easy, I'd revolt against the Council and reinstate myself as an independent leader outside their reach, too.

Wait, why do I even think about a rebellion?
