The entire army stood outside the castle gates, awaiting Azar and his troops. We could feel the earth trembling beneath us, the quiet hum of anticipation spreading like wildfire through the ranks. I gripped my sword tightly, my knuckles pale from the force. There was no time for fear, not here, not now. All I had was the weight of the blade in my hand and the steady breath I forced through my lungs.
