Bab 526: WHO’S GOING TO SAVE YOU NOW?

I stood outside in Ivan's arms, using him for support. I haven't quite recovered fully from using my strength on Rissa and I would have rested properly but it was time for us to leave. Rissa and her husband, Jafar, stood before us, their newborn princess Asha cradled in his arms. Isabelle with her brother Raheem stood next to them, with Christine holding his hand.

Rissa's warm smile lit up her face as she looked at me, a sense of gratitude and relief shining in her eyes. "I wish you didn't have to leave."

I returned her smile, "I'll come visit on a regular now, if you are okay with it of course." I said my gaze cutting to look at Jafar.

"You are welcome here anytime." Jafar stated, smiling at me which was a first.

"Thank you." I said.

Jafar stepped forward, his eyes meeting mine with a mixture of respect and wariness. "Thank you," he said, his voice filled with a sincerity that surprised
