IVAN POV

"Impossible!"

"Have you lost your gods damned mind Langmore?"

"He can't be fucking serious can he?"

"Why the fuck is he still breathing?"

I ignored all the outrage that was going on in front of me and instead focused on the man in front of me. I stood in the grand hall, my eyes fixed on Lord Langmore who stood before me with a smug look on his face. The arrogance that radiated from him made my blood boil, and it took all of my self-control not to wipe that smug expression off his face with a swift blow. His demeanor grated on my nerves, his superiority complex a constant source of irritation.

Behind him, the other lords and members of the court nodded their heads in agreement, their sycophantic gestures only adding fuel to the fire of my frustration. The way they pandered to him, the way they deferred to his every word, it made me clench my fists in anger.
