Bab 456: THE VIKING GUESTS

It was impossible not to notice the atmosphere that hung heavily in the air. The flickering candlelight cast eerie shadows on the walls and the silence was almost palpable. But I paid it no mind as I gracefully took my seat beside Azar who sat at the head of the long, ornate table.

The polished silverware gleamed under the dim lighting and the scent of the lavish feast that had been prepared for us wafted tantalizing through the room. Despite the tension that seemed to grip our guest, I felt a sense of calm wash over me. Actually, the only people who were quite comfortable, were me, Azar, Ravenna and of course the servants and the guards.
