Bab 290: THE PRISONER

"Is this true?" Prince Jaafar asked.

We were all gathered in the court with only few of the council members. In the midst of it all was Trevor who had two guards standing beside him. Rissa stood beside me and she had explained the whole situation to Jaafar, at least the one we planned in her room. She explained everything while Trevor stared at her in disbelief trying to speak but the guards were restricting him. Now, the prince was asking me the one question that I dreaded.

Christine stared at me from where she was seated with a blank look on her face but the way she crossed her fingers tightly told me she was anything but calm. Prince Jaafar stared at me expectantly waiting for me to answer.
