"Cooper helped, you know my lawyer." He says taking the bag of chips she offered to tear the package.

"Your lawyer was here?" She asked not knowing why.

Ezra realised he never really told her everything that had happened after she was gone. "It's a long story."

Scarlett sat straight placing the bag of gummy bears on her lap. "I'm all ears."

Ezra chuckled softly then pinched her cheeks. "You really are not going to let it go, are you?"

She shakes her head sideways dramatically, "nope, so tell me. What you two were doing when you practically let Ferdinand kidnap me."

That hurt him, should have known Scarlett will bring it up. "I'm sorry."

"Yeah you should be." She said in a harsh way but then she looked at him softly, "but I understand what you were feeling that time so I don't have any grudges against you."
