Bab 51: Present Life, After Life

Ricardo looked in the direction where he heard Scarlett's name being called. Upon seeing nothing but flames and smoke and ashes he turned around back again and walked out of the place.

Again a slow whimper rang. 

"Scarlett!" Ezra tried over and over again but couldn't understand why his voice didn't reach out to her.

Is it the punishment she's giving him for letting her go? This is how she's taking revenge on him? Will he never get another chance to apologise? Will he never hold her in his arms again? How will he atone for his mistakes now?

Her image is now burning in his head. He can see her burning and fading away in ashes. "No! Wait! Save Scarlett… Stella! Stella is burning, please somebody come, help us!"
