"You know there are only a few days left before our duel, right?" Jane reminded me as we walked to Baset's lecture hall. I sighed loudly as I looked up at the sky.
"I know! But unless you forgot, I have other responsibilities like finishing that request for those necklaces." I said.
"Sounds to me like you're just making excuses for when you fail." Jane said teasingly. I narrowed my eyes at her, then channeled freeze attribute into my legs and stomped my foot. A wave of ice shot from the point of impact and froze the ground around me.
Jane and Iris both slipped and fell flat on their asses. I chuckled and switched to head attribute mana, and a wave of invisible heat spread from my feet and melted all the ice.
"Whoops, how did that happen?" I asked facetiously.
"Whoops, my ass!" Iris snapped as she jumped to her feet. I was already channeling float attribute mana when she sprung to her feet and jumped high into the sky, floating six feet above their heads. "Cheap tricks, Chase!"
"If you got them, use them." I said with a chuckle, then stretched out like I was on a bed with my hands behind my head and floated over the sidewalk towards Baset's tower.
"KINGSTOOOOOOOON!" A familiar voice bellowed. It was, of course, Kyle, standing in front of the doors of Baset's tower with Ranjesh and a small group of other students. At least ten of them.
"Oh for fucks sake…" I grumbled then floated down to the ground and stopped channeling mana. "…Kyle, Ranjesh, whatever you're planning now please! Please! Stop before I embarrass you! I'm getting tired of it."
"Well today is the day I prove that you are not worthy to be in Lady Baset's class! You are a penniless, classless cur from America of all places. Once such as you wouldn't have the resources to acquire what a nobleman like myself would." Kyle proclaimed boldly. I narrowed my eyes at him and crossed my arm.
"Oh really? And that is what exactly?" I asked with a attitude. Kyle held his hand up and pointed at his ring finger.
"THIS!" He proclaimed proudly. I narrowed my eyes and saw a gold ring on his finger.
"You got married? You're a little young…" I said. That answer seemed to piss him off however.
"NO YOU UNCULTURED FOOL!" His farm crystal glowed slightly and runes hidden around the band glowed. A offensive spell sigil formed in front of his hand.
I channeled void attribute mana into my hand and held it up to block as Kyle fired a fireball at me. Before it came in contact with the black mass that had formed in my palm it was broken down and turned into mana.
"A enchanted item!" Iris exclaimed then jumped in front of Jane, assuming a defensive position.
"How the hell did he do that?" Ranjesh asked.
"Who cares he can't keep that up!" Kyle snapped then activated the fireball ring over and over, firing fireball after fireball. I rolled my eyes and channeled more void attribute mana and absorbed every attack. My farm crystal started glowing red and I felt a shooting pain throughout my body from the mana overload.
I channeled freeze attribute mana into my feet and stomped my left foot. A tidal wave of ice shot out from the point of impact and quickly overtook Kyle. His lower body and chest were trapped in a berg of ice.
"What the…?" Kyle exclaimed and tried using the fireball ring again. I rolled my eyes and stood with my arms crossed, this time the spell sigil shattered mid-cast and the ring followed suit. "…My ring!"
A stream of fire suddenly streaked towards the ice that contained Kyle and melted it. I looked over towards the direction it came from and saw Ranjesh with a ring similar to the one that Kyle used.
'Fuck….the day I sent all those enchanted items around the school. Don't tell me all these guys have my enchanted items?' I thought. A quick glance at the group that followed Kyle and Ranjesh and I saw all of them wearing either a necklace or a ring of mine.
"Well, well. Jane, Iris, guess who managed to get their hands on a Sho'lajah artifact company enchanted item?" I said. Everyone's eyes grew wide as they heard me say my company's name.
"How do you know about that company?!" Kyle demanded.
I held my left hand up and flashed the enchanted rings I had on my hand. I had five in total now. My void pocket ring was now on my thumb, while I had telepathic link ring on my pointer finger, the Draco Lance ring on my middle finger, one of two new spells that I had created in the last three days called star satellite was enchanted on a ring on my ring finger, and lastly the second of two spells that I created called giga star breaker.
"No freaking way! He has enchanted items too!" One of Kyle and Ranjesh goons yelled.
"He has a whole freaking hand full of them too!" Another barked. "How did he find enchanted items like ours?"
"Oh please…" I said with a chuckle then channeled mana into the star satellite enchanted ring.
An axiom spell sigil formed in front of my hand and multiple small orbs of rainbow light formed around my body. The satellites revolved around me in an orbit similar to the moon revolving around the earth. I snapped my fingers the satellites fell into an arch formation and lengthened into needles. The needles shot out and sought out the enchanted items that Ranjesh and the goons had and shattered them with one strike without injuring them.
"…the rings I have are nowhere near as fragile as yours." I said then snapped my fingers again. The satellites all returned to their original positions orbiting around me.
"Fuck! Our items!" A goon shouted.
I started to say something when I heard the sound of running feet approaching from behind Jane, Iris, and me. I looked over my shoulder and saw Astrid and Damon running towards us from further down the street. They both skidded to a stop behind Jane and Iris.
"Oh gods what's happening now?" Astrid asked when she saw me facing Kyle, Ranjesh and the goons.
"THAT BASTARD DESTROYED OUR ENCHANTED ITEMS!" Kyle shouted.
"Where did they get enchanted items?" Damon asked then crossed his arms and looked at Jane and Iris.
"We found them around the campus…" One of the goons spoke out. "…They're enchanted items from some company called the Sho'lajah artifact company."
Astrid and Damon both looked at Jane and Iris then narrowed eyes at me. Astrid then stepped forward and addressed the small group.
"You do know that Chase made those items right?" Astrid said. Everyone in Kyle and Ranjesh's group jumped back and screamed in surprise.
"Wait? Are you serious?!" Kyle exclaimed.
"Yes…unfortunately. Chase here actually comes from a family that has been making enchanted items for generations in secret. He learned the craft from his grandmother, who created enchanted items that rival one's created during the golden era." Damon said with a sigh
"What?!" Several people exclaimed and immediately looked remorseful.
"This is a fact that can be confirmed by Lady Baset." Astrid spoke up.
"Shit! We fucked up!" A goon said. Jane stepped forward and stood beside me, motioning to me.
"Allow me to introduce the owner, chief artifact creator, and spell designer of the Sho'lajah artifact company: Chase Kingston." Jane said. I smirked then glanced over my shoulder at Iris.
"Tri-clops make a note of all these peoples faces and add them to my permanent ban list. We'll figure out the names later." I said. Iris stepped forward and stood beside Jane.
"Already on it. I know of most of these people anyway." Iris said. That made people in the goon squad look real nervous and panic.
"Wait so you're actually making enchanted items?!" Kyle said.
"Sho'lajah artifact company makes custom enchanted items and spell casting equipment with plans to expand our expertise later." I said.
"Wait a second now master Kingston! Maybe we were too hasty…" a goon spoke up and tried to get my attention. I snapped my fingers and my rainbow satellites shot out and each expanded into a small wall that moved between the center of Kyle and Ranjesh's group and linked up into two much larger walls that pushed the group apart and made a pathway to the tower door.
"Whatever you have to say just stuff it! I'm seriously tired of you all constantly making me late to class." I said then started towards the tower. Everyone followed after me as I walked inside and ignored the pleas and shouts from Kyle, Ranjesh and their goons.

"Well it certainly rare for all of my students to be late for class." Baset said as we all walked into the lecture hall. Bo was already in his seat looking up at us.
"How did he get here already?" Damon demanded.c
"I went and got him this morning to make sure he made it to class." Baset said. I sighedcas I walked to my seat and patted Bo on my head as I passed his seat.
"Lucky you, getting escorted to class while I'm still getting jumped every other week when I come to class." I said half jokingly.
"Well don't get too comfortable. Class is going to be taking class somewhere else today." Baset said causing everyone to freeze before they took their seats and looked to Baset.
"Wait where are we going?" Jane asked.
"To the ancient magical history and early creation of enchanted items class. It's held in the Athena hall." Baaet said.
"Wait isn't that a class that only juniors, seniors and grad students can take." Jane said.
"Yes. I was asked to speak at the class today so I'm taking all of you with me. If I have to suffer so do all of you." Baset said.
"Why would we be suffering? People would literally kill to get into that class." Astrid said.
"How is that any different from your class? People are trying to kill me every week." I asked.
"The fact that a vast majority of the student population has a chance of getting into that class. I'm only allowing the best in my class." Baset said.
"Still wondering how Alberto and Damon got in…" I said with smirk.
"Hey!" Damon snapped.
"Actually I kinda wondered about that too…" Bo said then looked at Damon.
"This kid…" Daman growled. Baset clapped her hands shutting Damon up.
"Enough…let's just head over there and get this over with." Baset said with a sigh and started walking up the stairs to the door.
"Love the enthusiasm." I said sarcastically then followed Baset out of the classroom. Bo, Damon and the girls all followed her out of classroom and outside. Once outside Baset turned to me.
"Okay Chase bring out Grimm-Guard." Baset said. I frowned and crossed my arms.
"What happened to your carriage?" I asked.
"It would take too long for it to get here, using your evos would be easier." She replied.
'Guess it's a good thing that It's Grimm-Guard's turn to rest from guard duty…' I thought.
[Do you mind taking us?] I asked through the telepathic link.
[Of course not star boss!] Grimm-Guard exclaimed.
[Thanks!] I replied then summoned him from his farm crystal. Grimm-Guard coiled around the tower after he emerged from his structure and leaned his upper body down so everyone could climb on top of his head.
"We seriously have to ride that thing?" Damon groaned. Grimm-Guard looked at him and chittered annoyingly.
"You can always walk." Grimm-Guard growled. Baset glared at Damon and pushed him towards Grimm-Guard.
"Yes, because if I have to suffer being in the same classroom as Samura Wallik then all of you do. Now get on the Millitanto." Baset said firmly.
"Yes ma'am…" Damon said and climbed up on Grimm-Guard's back. Astrid, Iris, and Jane all climbed up without a word seeing how irritated Baset was. Baset and I climbed up after them and Grimm-Guard flew off.
"Which way is the hall?" Grimm-Guard asked.
"To the east." Baset said then pointed to a massive and ornately decorated spire in the distance.
Splicer Fact: It is believed by a small cult in England that all animals in the world are just ancient evos that have had hundreds of thousands of years to breed and turn into the creatures that are used as evo bases today. This cult also proclaims themselves as the true rulers of England and launch terrorist attacks on the country on a semi-regular basis.
