Bab 439: Best Friends Reunion

Charlotte removed her sandals and settled onto the mattress, resting her feet on the bed as she patiently awaited Édouard's arrival. Soon enough, the door swung open, revealing Édouard's presence, accompanied by a familiar face, Charlotte's once-close friend, Denise.

She swiftly descended from the bed, standing upright in surprise. "Denise," Charlotte murmured, her gaze briefly shifting toward Édouard.

Édouard addressed them, saying, "You wanted to meet Miss Denise, so I brought her here. I believe it's best for you two to have a conversation. I'll return later," he added before exiting the room, closing the door behind him. 

Denise bowed to Charlotte first as a part of a formal greeting to the Princess. As she lifted her head, she found Charlotte walking toward her. The next moment, the two shared a warm hug with each other.

"Denise, I'm so sorry," Charlotte said.
