Bab 426: To see you grow

Suzanne entered the chamber after having lunch with Charlotte. From Giselle, she found out that Damien was called by the Queen, making her wonder what could be the reason behind that.

As she settled on the couch in the drawing chamber, Giselle handed her the glass of the water. "Your Grace, recently I have noticed that Prince Damien and Princess Suzanne are getting closer," she said with a cheerful smile.

Suzanne gently placed the glass in her hand back onto the table after savoring her drink. "You're absolutely correct; Prince Damien has welcomed me into his life and desires our relationship to progress," she affirmed, raising the glass to her lips once more.

While taking another sip, Suzanne detected a peculiar taste, though she didn't dwell on it too long. Giselle retrieved the glass and carefully set it aside, while a maidservant promptly collected it and carried it to the kitchen.

"Did Princess Suzanne think of another step in their marriage?" Giselle asked.
