Rainard returned home, and his father, who had just arrived from outside, questioned him about his feelings for Tove.
"You've fallen for Tove!?" Juan asked in a hushed tone.
Rainard responded calmly, "Yes, Father. Is there an issue with that? Can we discuss this later? I really want to see Tove."
Juan agreed, saying, "Of course. I'll meet you in my room." Rainard expressed his gratitude, and then he headed to the servants' quarters at the back of the mansion, eager to see Tove.
Rainard knocked on the door of Tove's room, and when she opened it, she was visibly surprised to see him. Confusion clouded her expression, and she made no move to invite him inside. Instead, she spoke with a hint of anger in her voice.
"If the Young Master doesn't have any work for me, then he must leave," Tove said, her gaze lowered.
