Bab 302: Never marry the woman from his family

Damien got puzzled to find that the King wanted to see him. He did not ask much from the palace servant and headed to see the King in the private hall. As he entered the hall, he was surprised to see Joss Barnard there.

Damien greeted the King first and gazed at Joss, wondering what could be the matter.

"Have a seat, Damien," King Christian said. Damien took the seat across from the King, next to Joss on the same sofa.

"I heard from Joss how you meddled in their personal family matter," Christian began the conversation.

"Pardon me, Your Majesty!" Damien was stunned to hear such an allegation against him. "Why would I meddle in the personal family matter of the Barnards?" He muttered and narrowly gazed at Joss.
