Bab 214: Conspiracy

"Charlotte!" Édouard called her name out and approached her. He found her smiling at him and her next act astonished him.

Charlotte hugged him and shut her eyes. "You made it, Édouard. Matilda apologized to me for everything she did till now," she said.

Édouard was astonished to hear that and so was Lady Bimson. Édouard pulled away and peered into Charlotte's eyes.

"I apologize to Prince Édouard for my wrong behavior," Matilda pronounced from inside the door.

Charlotte stood next to Édouard and found Matilda coming toward them. Behind her, Niamh was present.

"I put a lot of troubles for both of you. It was my frustration, my disappointment, and selfishness that led to a lot of wrong things," Matilda said while looking at Édouard. "I finally understood why I should not marry Prince Édouard. He was right about everything last night." She didn't say much because she already had said enough to Charlotte.
