Bab 203: Stop stooping so low [Bonus chapter]

"Did you forget to wear the pendant?" Édouard asked when Charlotte questioned him if she was looking good.

Charlotte touched her neck. "Oh. Let me take it from the dresser," she said.

"I will bring. Stay here." Édouard walked to the dressing room and searched for the pendant on the dresser.

Charlotte looked at the door and found Édouard didn't come. She went to check on him and found him searching for the pendant in the drawers. "What happened, Édouard?" She approached him.

"It's not here," Édouard said. He tilted his head to look at her, "Are you sure it was here?"

"Yes. Before going to the washroom, I put it here," Charlotte said and started searching. "Where did it go?" She mumbled.

"Whom did you call to help you?" Édouard asked.

"We cannot accuse anyone without seeing, Édouard," Charlotte said.

"I am not accusing anyone. All I want to know is the answer from the helper who helped you," Édouard clarified to her.
