Bab 161: I cannot forgive your mother [Bonus chapter]

After Charlotte's family returned, Édouard helped her in sleeping. He stayed by her side until she slept and went out of the bedchamber. "Don't let anyone go in," Édouard told Zoe, "except my mother."

He went to see Andrew who was bedridden as he got sick because of the long travel. It was his first time going on such an arduous journey.

The servant informed Andrew about Édouard's visit and it made him sit on the bed. The servant put two pillows behind him and stepped back with her head down.

Édouard entered the chamber and apologized to Andrew for not coming earlier. Andrew gestured to the servant to leave.

"It is alright. How is Princess Charlotte? I heard she has woken up," Andrew asked and saw Édouard settled on the chaise.

"Charlotte is good. Currently, she is resting," Édouard replied. "Is the fever high?" he asked with a bit of a worried expression.

"It is not," Andrew replied. "I cannot believe I am such a weakling," he murmured.
