Charlotte and Édouard met Queen Anneliese the next morning before heading to the Mist Hills. King Christian came there and asked Édouard why he did not inform him he was going out with his wife.
"I did not find the need to inform His Majesty," Édouard stated. Christian furrowed his brows together as his son did not call him 'father'. Anneliese and Charlotte also confusedly gazed at Édouard.
"Forget whatever happened yesterday," Christian said and placed his hand on Édouard's shoulder, who moved back.
"Your Majesty, I will never forget what my wife and I went through yesterday," Édouard stated and bowed his head. He held Charlotte's hand and walked out from there. He did not want to see his father's face on that pleasant morning and for that reason, he did not even go for breakfast in the dining hall. He didn't either allow Charlotte to go there.
Charlotte remained silent and followed his steps. They both got into the carriage and the coachman closed the door behind them.
