Édouard pulled away while his nose was still in contact with hers. "In your eyes, this number one flirt has flirted with women. But he has kissed only one, that is, you," he whispered against her lips.

"I told you—" Édouard did not let her speak as he pressed his index finger on her soft lips.

"Tsk. I also told you that I would not stop myself from being affectionate to you," he pronounced. He lowered his finger and slowly let go of his arm from around her waist. "Cherry, do you want to get into the lake?" he asked and turned to face the giant lake before him.

"No. You can go if you want to. However, I think it is deep, so be careful. I will not come to rescue you if you get drowned," Charlotte asserted.

"I am a good swimmer," Édouard said and started to walk ahead. "Why are you so good to your brothers when you know how they are? They mistreated you, yet you are too kind to them."
