Bab 230: He Might Already Put A Tail On You

Detective Otake rushed out of the pub once Shuuya completely disappeared from there. The younger man's words kept echoing inside his mind, each of them was laced with clear threats.

'Don't make a mess with my people. Remember. This is my territory. I can kick you out before you can even blink.'

As someone with power in his palms, the young master of the Kawata family could certainly realize the threats.

The warning was crystal-clear. He was not joking even the slightest.

Stop investigating the man named Saeki Heisuke at all costs. 

Knowing that he shouldn't play it down, Detective Otake could only call Kousuke first and explain the current situation. He decided to remain low before any orders followed.

Detective Otake ran toward the single-room apartment unit that he rented. The place was not far from the pub. His footsteps landed heavily on the roads that were reeking of the smell of piss and trash.
