Bab 20: [The Emperor’s Concerns…]
Emperor's POV:
"Nani?!"
"No way you gotta be joking right? I thought her existence was just a legend that our ancestors believed!"
"Well… no one knows if it's really true."
The atmosphere immediately became heavy and tense.
Everyone present felt nervous and started to become restless and worried upon hearing what had been said.
[Arch-Bishop Valentine]:
"This is something a lot of people of our world don't even know. The thing is… It's based on legends and speculation so no one really knows if it's true…"
[Arch-Bishop Valentine]:
"But It's been said that before the Dragon Goddess Valda was sealed away she cast a curse on the 10 great gods who are now known as the 10 Supreme Deities."
"That's why the gods are cursed to forever maintain balance to our world… That being said, no god can rise above another without suffering the consequences meaning, no one can defy the laws of the world."said the emperor.
"Although the gods are in a slumber right now… If they were to awaken, their wraith would still be a cruel punishment to those who defy them. They still hold enormous power that no mortal can even fathom!"
[Arch-Bishop Valentine]:
"The curse was more than what it seemed though. It's also been said that the curse brought about the birth of the 3 Primordial Dragons. They were once together as one and were depicted as a giant 3 headed dragon boasting tremendous realm shaking power."
[Arch-Bishop Valentine]:
"While in their slumber, they separated from each other and formed their own souls and consciousness. This gave them the intelligence they needed to keep the gods and the world in balance."
"The Primordial Dragon Of Death who has the attribute of death and holds authority over Dark Magic Kydryn… The Primordial Dragon Of Life who has the attribute of life and the authority over Light magic Kaya… The Primordial Dragon Of Order who has the attribute of order and the authority over Cosmos Magic, Karma and the newborn Primordial Dragon Of Chaos who has the attribute of chaos and hold authority over Chaos Magic, Krios…"
Only a few select people in the entire world of Alvesia knew about the legendary curse cast on the 10 gods by the dragon goddess.
This didn't mean people didn't know about the Primordial dragons It was known far and wide that the 3 Primordial dragons actually existed and had been in a long deep slumber just like the gods.
So this was a jaw-dropping revelation for some some people some still thought of it as a legend and myth but it would ponder on all of their minds for years to come.
"If this is truly her doing then let's face it, we won't stand a chance, it's impossible!"
"There's no way her soul fragments should've been able to escape a sealing spell though…"
"It was crafted by hands of the divine,It would've took all of the gods combined power to create it…its power should be absolute right?!"
"Yea what the hell are you talking about? What you're saying is insane and I don't believe it!"
"To think that the Primordial Dragon's little sibling would be born right now… This is absolutely absurd!"
"Are you serious… If this is true then what will be our next move? This may be a battle we just can't win by ourselves."
"Should we notify every human nation in Alvesia? This is a matter which cannot be unattended to, so should this not be our first priority?!"
"That's right! We can't just sit on our asses, while a catastrophe-class dragon is scheming and lurking right inside our country! If we let it continue like this, we'll be doomed to fail before we even get a chance!"
"This is the craziest thing I've ever heard of… The chances are one in a trillion if higher!"
"What would even cause this to happen? What if his newfound and chaotic presence awakens the gods out of their slumber?!"
Hearing this the emperor understood their viewpoints and concerns they were all merely human and could not comprehend the unknown which had only just become known.
"I was the same as you guys." *sigh*
"I had my own doubts and suspicions the same as you all. Unfortunately things just aren't that simple… That Dragon told me all this himself in person."
"With his use of Divine Haki which no mortal that I know of posses, the ominous power I sensed within him and the way he knew the dragon goddesses name and origin, really had me thinking otherwise..."
"The energy I saw inside him using my unique skill [All Seeing Eyes] was horrifying! It looked like a bottomless vast ocean of black and gold intertwined energy!"
"It was never ending… almost like it went on forever! I couldn't even manage to see any of his skills, which means he is definitely stronger than me right now!"
"I don't even sleep last night and couldn't stop thinking about it. So I've come to the conclusion that I have no other choice but to consider it a possibility."
Hearing this some of the people present started to twist in their seats looking down and shaking their head slowly.
It looked like they had genuinely been completely defeated already as no one present dared to speak out right now because the severity of the situation.
Silence fell upon the room for a couple seconds leaving the atmosphere tense again one of the emperor's closest servants.
Which had actually been his secretary eventually spoke up shocking the others in the room making them sweat profusely waiting to hear what she was going to say.
[Emperor's Secretary-Maia]:
"He said he was born a week ago right? The unusual timing it makes sense then, but how could we even go about dealing with an enemy that holds a supreme attribute?"
[Emperor's Secretary-Maia]:
"If it's true that means no mere mortal would be able to defeat that being… The only ones who could are the great gods or their subordinates right?"
[Emperor's Secretary-Maia]:
"If he were to evolve and grow even stronger then it would only become worse. This really seems like an impossible task for us humans to handle. Should we go and subjugate some B-Rank or A-Rank monsters like ogres, orcs and Demi-humans to build up our forces even more? *Shrug*
"I see what you mean… But we'll have to discuss later, it may very well come down to that though. That being said, the thing that scares me most… Id the possibility of that dragonborn and his followers becoming his subordinates!"
"If he ends up joining him, we may be destroyed on the spot without question. I'm sure that for him there's nothing but a feeling of intense hatred for us right now."
"The only thing that's keeping him and his powers in check are the nullification stone handcuffs. Without them, he would be too much for us to handle, all because of that damned cursed fruit..."
"Tsk, If they were to be removed, I believe this would turn into a war of extreme loss and spilled blood. This is a very worrisome predicament we're in right now…"
"Hmm… Though, even if we are to recapture him, how can we be so sure it won't just bring more trouble to our doorstep later?"
"Chaos may have already figured out what's going on right now, but If we were to intervene right now, it would only cause him to become even more wary of us." the emperor agreed.
"If the Dragonborn escapes though, we'll definitely be at a disadvantage! The casualties that we'd suffer would be inconceivable, should we really not just recapture him?!"
"That's right! It took more thank half of our forces just to subdue the Dragonborn chief, so I agree! What can we possibly do against that abomination of a dragon? Especially with our low number of soldiers and personnel as of now, what do you think will happen?!"
"There's no way humans can win against something like that! If they were to join hands, it'd spell the end for mankind as we know it, so we need to think things through rationally!"
[Arch-Bishop Valentine]:
"Well about that…" *Smirk*
"Ahh… Arch-Bish Valentine, one of my most trusted colleagues! What do you have in mind?"
[Arch-Bishop Valentine]:
"Hmm,If everything he said was really true… Then I'm afraid we'd have no other option but to use our sacred treasure…"
"Hoh, the one that's been hidden away by our ancestors for centuries?!" could be heard from multiples individuals in the room.
[Arch-Bishop Valentine]:
"Of course we'll need Isabella's co-operation for it though, but that shouldn't pose a problem." *Smirk*
"Yes,I understand… I guess you're right, she may be our only chance by the look of things. She really has quite the unique magic affinity huh?"
[Arch-Bishop Valentine]:
"It pains me to say it, but that girl has has one of the most extraordinary and unique powers I've ever seen…"
[Arch-Bishop Valentine]:
"The ability to use both light magic and dark magic there's absolutely no explanation for it, its never once been done before…"
Wow, Amazing, Are you serious all sorts of questions and disgusted groans could be heard as they gossiped about how crazy Isabella's potential and ability was.
[Arch-Bishop Valentine]:
"Such power has been unheard of in all our worlds history, as such she may be the only one who has the ability to wield our sword."
"Hmm… Is that so? I guess that's our next step then, does anyone have any objections or disagree with our decision?"
"Yes your majesty. I whole heartedly disagree!"
Silencing everyone who was still going on about Isabella's power a noble who had caught wind of the situation and wanted to intervene.
"There's no way we can put such a treasure into the hands of a mere commoner and one who has such a terrifying ability at that!"
"Isn't this our only chance at survival though? I would've hoped you'd considered that before speaking out against his majesty like this!"
"No one else in our country can wield that sword… Nor even the emperor himself!"
"There's no way that we can trust her that easily though, do you not agree on that at least?!"
"We don't even have one clue of where she was born or where she even came from, which is troublesome in itself!"
"Don't you think It's already bad enough that a mere self-proclaimed hero has become the emperor's personal servant!"
" Then on top of that, she would also have the privilege of wielding the Divine Sword which no one has ever done before, it's absolutely unthinkable!"
" I think it would be ludicrous to give her such a honor and task!"
"Silence! We will do what we must to ensure our citizens safety first and foremost! Shouted the emperor.
"We are talking about a catastrophic-class war right now! We cannot let our pride cause us to make foolish mistakes!"
"We must take whatever means necessary to survive! Yes that means that even if we are betrayed in the end, we'll deal with it later!"
"Our apologies, all is understood your majesty!"
"When you put it that way, I understand your reasoning and I have no objections my lord."
"Thank you all for voicing your concerns. I appreciate your sincerity and feedback on such a sensitive matter…"
"Now… Honestly I don't like the thought of her wielding our sacred treasure either, but this may be our only chance to acquire greater power!"
"We"ll need to use everything at our disposal if our foe is really who he said he was… That means we need all the manpower we can get!"
"As you've probably already realized, the noble faction will also be furious at this decision . I'll send Viscount Veyron to inform them of our circumstances for now. It won't appease them, but such trivial matters can't be dealt with at the moment!"
[Emperor's Secretary-Maia]:
"I was worried about that as well my lord."
"Yes we will deal with it later, but there's also another thing to keep in mind…"
"Not only are we dealing with a newborn deity of myths and legends…"
"We also may have incurred the wraith of Demon King Abaddon! I'll tell you something right now , so make sure you never forget it… The Demon King is one entity that you don't wanna piss off!"
'Tsk… damn him! He must've planned all this from the start . He's putting pressure on us using that peer-demons demise'
'While the threat of Demon King Abaddon still remains unknown right now because of his slumber… If he were to awaken we'll definitely be targeted! What truly impressive tactics he's using if I must say…"

I spread my wings and launched straight up into the sky to look down at the wooden scaffold as got closer I could feel the aura of the Dragonborn burning brighter In my presence.
The two executioners and the guards behind them had dumbfounded expressions, some of them were so petrified they couldn't even move.
This was all because of the recent scene of people suddenly vanishing into thin air without even having clue of what did it frightened them.
I noticed how some of them were running and shifting around frantically they looked like they had just been set on fire.
They were probably wondering if they should go and report directly back to the emperor himself maybe they also thought that they should take responsibility and immediately search for the disappearing citizens.
The Dragonborn man shifted around with his head down with his long flowing hair covering his eyes I seen his body tense up as he started to stand up while he was now clearly alert of a higher beings presence being near him.
The presence being myself, I came into his sight as I levitated in a god-like way above the execution scaffold before landing in a elegant manner.
I transformed into my hybrid form keeping my wings out which shrunk to the side to about 5m to accommodate my hybrid size.
Chaos could see the Dragonborn slowly start to look in his direction as his hair blew from in front of his eyes then Chaos's magnificent visage entered his view.
The setting sun directly behind him making Chaos look like he was bathed in a radiant glowing divine light.
He looked up at Chaos with slight hesitation as their eyes met he squinted at me like he was analyzing me.
After a couple Chaos could feel him starting at him intently with curiosity and great admiration I used my eyes of chaos to see his true intentions and feelings.
"Eyes Of Chaos!"
