As his confusion mounted, Walter Schmidt sighed repeatedly. He held Tara Summer's hand tightly, his voice low and somber, "Tara, do you know? The young master, he..."
Just as he was about to speak, he noticed the eyelids of the person on the bed twitch. He paused, originally thinking it was just a natural body response. To his surprise, Tara really opened her eyes.
"You're awake!" Walter exclaimed joyously, gripping her hand tightly, his voice anxious, "How do you feel? Is there any discomfort anywhere?"
"Um..." Tara's first reaction upon waking was to clutch her head. Walter quickly released her hand and helped her sit up when he saw her face change.
"Where am I?" Tara was a bit confused about her situation. After scanning the room, she realized she was in her own bedroom, "What happened? My head hurts!"
"Don't you remember?" Walter asked, handing her a cup of water from the bedside table.
