•CROSS, the AI inhabiting the CrossTrix, was originally a backup of the Anti-Life Entity's mind in case the original was ever destroyed. In the course of executing a plan to revive the Entity, Oberon OS used the Entity's personality data to create CROSS, a naïve AI it believed would be easy to manipulate.
•Over time, CROSS's personality data allowed him to grow, eventually gaining a human level of emotional intelligence and sense of purpose. He became attached to Dr. Krauze, whom both parties believed to be his creator, helping her manage her social ineptitude and following her directions down to the letter.
•After choosing Teresa Challice as the CrossTrix's wielder, the two of them gradually grew a strong bond, considering each other partners. CROSS usually serves as an informant and a shoulder to lean on, encouraging Teresa in dark times. After Teresa's abduction and torture by Malincious Crow, CROSS became fiercely protective of her, at times taking matters into his own hands by using the CrossTrix's Bullet Train mode as a makeshift gun
against attackers.
𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻:
•The CrossTrix is a free-floating Omnitrix that can fly to its user at high speeds when summoned. This is accomplished using a location-tracking microchip the CrossTrix can implant into its user's skin that allows them to summon it by calling aloud for CROSS.
•Upon making contact with the user's skin, the CrossTrix will generate a wrist brace made with sweat-wicking technology that transforms it into a gauntlet-type Omnitrix with an interface on the back resembling the wheels of a three-wheel combination padlock. This wheel-combination interface allows the user to set the CrossTrix into a variety of different modes depending on the wheel code dialled in.
•After being modified by Oberon OS, its hard light generator was programmed to manifest a chainsaw blade from the chassis, allowing it to be wielded as a weapon.
•The CrossTrix's main chassis has a panel that pops open to reveal a USB port and an audio jack. The USB port is used to connect the CrossTrix to a computer for maintenance and file management, and the audio jack allows the user to plug headphones into the device.
•The CrossTrix has a camera installed in its chassis that allows it to record video of its surroundings.
𝗠𝗼𝗱𝗲𝘀:
The following is a list of known CrossTrix modes. It is implied that more modes exist, but they have not yet been seen or elaborated upon in series.
𝗞𝗻𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝗱𝗲𝘀:
•0-0-0: Standby Mode ᗒThe default setting is seen when the CrossTrix attaches to its user. In this mode, the CrossTrix will simply do nothing.
•0-0-1: Nightmare Mode ᗒThis mode usually displays an error message, but when activated through unknown means, it can turn the user into Nightmare.
•0-1-0: Transformation Mode ᗒThis mode allows the user to transform into any one of the ten aliens stored in the CrossTrix by using the dial-in in a manner similar to that of an ordinary Omnitrix. As soon as the CrossTrix is set to this mode, it generates a protective field of hard light constructs that allows the user to select an alien and transform uninterrupted.
•1-0-0: Scan Mode ᗒThis mode allows the CrossTrix to scan new DNA and generate a CrossKey.
•1-1-3: Titania Mode ᗒThis mode allows access to CrossTrix's Titania Forms.
•4-1-1: Bullet Train Mode ᗒThis mode allows the CrossTrix to fire the 411 Cross Bullet, a flying bullet train that exits the CrossTrix at the size of an actual bullet before expanding to full size using mass-shifting technology.
•6-6-6: DOOM Mode ᗒThis mode allows the CrossTrix to run DOOM (1993). Somehow.
•7-1-0: Psi CrossKey ᗒThis mode summons the Psioknight CrossKey, allowing it to be used in conjunction with one of the CrossTrix's existing aliens to create a powerful fusion.
𝗨𝗻𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝗱𝗲𝘀:
•???: Browser Mode ᗒThis mode turns the CrossTrix into an internet browser. The connection is fully secure, but CROSS is still present and able to judge you for your internet history.
•???: Comms Mode ᗒThis mode allows the CrossTrix to access a number of different communications channels.
•???: GPS Mode ᗒThis mode turns the CrossTrix into a GPS. It's a bit like Google Maps if Google Maps stopped nagging at you to leave reviews.
•???: MP3 Mode ᗒThis mode turns the CrossTrix into an MP3 player, making it the first Omnitrix able to play My Chemical Romance on loop for 24 hours straight (and also the first Omnitrix able to Rickroll people but come on guys it's current year Rickrolls aren't funny).
•???: Night Mode ᗒThis mode switches all of the CrossTrix's displays to darker colours that are easier on the eyes.
•???: Search Mode ᗒThis mode allows the CrossTrix to ping for objects within a 50-meter radius. The search settings can be narrowed down to only ping for specific objects.
