The moment the security officers make their way over to us to investigate what is going on, the jocks and the Lycan dispersed and return to their places in the crowd. I take a solid five minutes to scan the crowd to find them and make sure they’re okay, but they are already gone.
While I look around, I hear people whispering and muttering. I can’t make out everything they’re saying, but there is one thing I hear consistently – Shania. They are talking about me. I should have expected as much. That’s what I get for making a scene.
Mom is going to have another field day with me.
I don’t remember where my feet take me, but we get the go-ahead that it is safe for us to leave. The Lycan threat has been taken care of, and now we get to leave. The rush of people trying to get out of the cramped space sweeps me away in what feels like a stampede up the stairs. I once again scan the faces in the crowd around me hopelessly in search of the Lycans and Felix.
