"That's not true." Xue Xiaobao hid behind his brother and laughed.

Xue Dafu, Liu Guixia, and the others all laughed.

"Actually, we're here to play with them." Dabao pointed at the kids. 

Xue Dagui immediately asked his son, "Gouzi, are you going to go with them?"

"Yes. I'm done eating." Xue Gouzi quickly put down his chopsticks. He felt a little stuffed, mainly because the New Year's Eve dinner was too delicious to pass.

"Then you can go play with Dabao and Xiaobao." Xue Dagui said.

"Okay!" Xue Gouzi happily nodded. His father was especially good to him, and his relationship with Xue Darong, Xue Dahua, and Xue Dafu's families was slowly getting better.

Liu Guixia was busy stuffing Xue Dabao, Xue Xiaobao, and Xue Gouzi's pockets with crispy candy, afraid that the three children would run away in a hurry to play without snacks.

Xue Sifu's gaze was smiling at the two children while he finished his wine.
