Bab 469: Beliefs

She had already told Sifu how to sell them. First, she would wash the tomatoes clean, then soak the entire tomato in ice water to cool it. Finally, she would cut them into small pieces and sprinkle white sugar on them. She would sell them in small bowls.

Because it was soaked in ice water, it would be cold when eaten, and it was especially suitable for eating on hot days.

Apart from the two ladies, Jiang Yue and Xue Yan also left some tomatoes for their family.

Before they brought it home, they even washed it by the river.

Once they got home, Jiang Yue found a clean wooden basin that she could use. Xue Yan immediately scooped some water and poured it into the basin, then added some ice.

Then, Jiang Yue soaked the tomatoes that she had washed.

The water would get colder and colder, and the tomato would get cooler along with it.

Jiang Yue returned to her room and entered her space when she remembered she had more tomatoes waiting.
