"Hmm, that's fine, let me have a look first."

Lin Caisang stood up, extended her hands and pinched his arm a few times. When she pinched certain spots, she saw him wince in pain, his forehead breaking out in cold sweat, but he still gritted his teeth without uttering a sound.

"Does it hurt in these places?" she asked after pressing gently on those spots again.

"Yes, it's roughly that area. It hurts terribly when slightly moved," Ya Guman replied.

"Have you seen a doctor before?" Lin Caisang asked again.

"Yes, I have visited our village's Lady Doctor Liu, who said my arm is useless." When Ya Guman mentioned Lady Doctor Liu, his face turned sour.

Lady Doctor Liu was previously the only barefoot doctor in Ya Village. He was a man but for reasons unknown, not one doctor in their village ended well. Lady Doctor Liu thus decided to stylize himself as a female doctor for the sake of earning money, oddly dressing himself up as a woman.
