Bab 16: Volume II: Konoha's Night Owl Chapter 16: Decision
It's been some time since the mission against the Prajñā Group, that Itachi and Kakashi took part in. After that mission, Hokage appointed me as his personal guard, the reason is unknown to me, so i just went along with it. Because of that I saw, Might Guy requesting Hokage to relieve Kakashi from the ANBU as he believes that his friend will forever be lost in the depth of the darkness that is looming on the ANBU.
Complaints about thr Police force has reached the ears of Hokage, and he called in for a meeting with his council. He wanted to clear up the sparks that is going on between the Uchiha Clan and the village higher ups, but the other three just opposed to it, by saying that the Uchiha maybe a threat to the village. Seeing that his old teammates are deviating from what their sensei, Tobirama thought them, he tried to reason with them, but it ende up a waste.
Several weeks later, there was a special mission given to Shisuis Team to take down the Kiri Ninja that have been infiltrating the Land of Fire. When je left for the mission I thought 'So the revolution of the Uchihas will be close.'
I've thought about this for my past five years and there were some times that I wanted to leave it as it is, so that I won't be losing any foreknowledge I have. For the first three years I've only considered them as the characters of the Naruto anime and manga, but after being friends with Itachi, Izumi, Shisui, Hana and being a brother figure to Naruto, Shikamaru, Choji and Ino have changed my mind.
'Since Shisui is going to fend off the Kiri Ninjas, it means that time has come for me to act. Let's deviate from the story I know.' Deciding on that I waited until the day Shisui returned from his mission. And after two days he returned to the village with his team and reported the mission in front of the Hokage and his three council members.
After finishing his report he asked Hiruzen "Lord Third I have a request."
"Mmmm. No one will follow me." Hiruzen told us, his personal guards.
After both of them left the room, I made a shadow clone to stay back and teleported to the roof, where they have reached. As I reached there, I saw Hiruzen facing against Shisui and Shisui on his one knee, showing Hiruzen his respect.
As Shisui was about to speak, both of them sensed my presence and looked over. Seeing me, Shisui smiled and Hiruzen with a sigh askede "I thought I made it clear."
"Yes you did Lord Third. But I'm here on a request." I told.
"And what would that be?" He asked me again.
"I will tell after he finishes his request first." I said.
"It's alright, Lord Third. He's a friend."
"As you see fit. Now, Shisui, you can speak."
"Yes Lord Third." Then taking a deep breath he spoke "I'm very troubled by the suspicion cast upon the Uchiha Clan."
"So am I."
"I'm hoping that my clan and the village will be able to trust each other again." Taking a pause there he continued "Will you assign this mission to me?"
"Do you want to be released from your regular duties?"
"Yes. And I would like to be given a certain amount of authority."
"All right. Let's say I ordered you on a top-secret investigate mission. If anyone objects, tell them my name, and I will take full responsibility."
"Thank you very much." Shisui thanked Hiruzen.
"Now then, since he finished his request, what is yours, Bokuto?"
"It's to assist Shisui in the shadows."
"Is that all?" Hiruzen asked me.
"Yes Hokage."
"Then I grand you the permission to help Shisui in this S-Rank mission. But after this mission you will be removed from the ANBU effectively. As the time has come."
Even though those words confused me I agreed with him.
"Hai Hokage-sama." Pausing I looked at both of them and said "Lord Third and Shisui, I want my involvement in this mission only to be known to both of you. I don't want a third person to know about it. Not the council, not my AMBU captain Kakashi not even my uncle."
"I understand. I will tell others that I've sent you on a long mission to track down a Ninja of Konoha."
"Thank you." After that I handed over my owl mask to Hiruzen and went with Shisui.
On the way I told him "Shisui, I know you're going to share this information with Itachi, but don't say anything about my involvement."
"And why are you so hung up on nobody knowing about you helping me?"
"There are reasons, and you will find out about it in the coming days. Just promise me that you won't tell Itachi."
"Sure."
After that I left to Nara clan and told aunt that I'll be out of the village for coming month's on a mission given to me directly by the Third Hokage. Understanding that she wished me luck in the mission and I left the village. After reaching a considerable distance away from the village, I teleported back to the village where Shisui is.
As he saw me he spoke "Itachi just left now. And as per your request, I've not told anything about your involvement to him."
"Good. Now let's start okay."
"Sure, but you should change your form."
"Alright." Saying that I changed into Kuroo from Haikyuu.
Then I told him "Shisui, I need to speak with your Clan Head."
"Eh... Why is that?"
"I have a plan. But to make it successful I need the cooperation of Fugaku-san."
"I have already have a plan. I'll be using my dojutsu power to make him agree with our terms."
Sighing I said "Alright, we will do that way. It's easier. Then I'll be going."
After bidding him farewell I left the place. But my destination was to the house of Fugaku Uchiha, the Clan Head of the Uchiha Clan.
As I reached there, I saw Itachi and Fugaku having an argument. So I changed into one of the Uchiha member who is a high ranked member of the police department and knocked on the door.
Hearing the knock Fugaku came and opened the door, looking at me he asked "What is it at this laye hour?"
"Captain, I have a request. And I can't tell it here."
Understanding that I was not trusting Itachi, as some of the Clan members have been disgusting Itachi he agreed with me and we moved away from his house towards the Nala river. When we reached there I looked around to see if there is anyone spying on us and also used my spatial awareness to check if Obito is here. Getting nothing on my senses, I held his shoulder and teleported to the Nara forest.
The first thing Fugaku did was activate his Sharingan and tried to put me in a Genjutsu, and took our his kunai and placed it on my neck and asked me "Who are you?"
