I soak my body in my bathtub for an hour to ensure that I no longer feel Mino's awful vomit. I applied the fragrant and foamy floral extract on my neck and back for the fourth time. I still despise that disgusting thing, and it seems like I can still feel it in my body.
He puked on my body, which I didn't allow to get a single dirt! What a disgrace! I kicked the bath tub's water, and the flowers floating in it spilled onto the floor. My patience is rapidly dwindling.
I didn't linger in my bath and quickly grabbed a towel and robe. I dried myself and wore my robe without fully tying it. I faced the large mirror that reflects my entire body. Mirrors in our world have charms that can reflect us, allowing us to see ourselves even if we are vampires.
I looked down at my nude body. I saw how pale my skin is, as if there is no blood left in it. I can't help but smile sweetly as I glance at my own reflection. It gives me great pleasure to notice my resemblance to my mother, and I am grateful to inherit her ethereal beauty. I am extremely fortunate to have such a beautiful queen as a mother.
I quickly knotted the robe so that it fully covered my entire body. I walked up the stairs after exiting the door. I was about to walk into my room when I felt and heard the door to my opposite room opened.
My blood quickly began to boil because I was about to see the mortal. What a jerk! Does he not acknowledge my royalty? I could feel his entire presence behind me already. Prepare yourself for me!
I turned to face him fiercely so that I could instantly curse at him. "Is this okay?" he asked softly, and I was taken aback when I saw his appearance when I faced him to dispute.
Damn! My jaw dropped open, and my stare at him became intense. Damn! Is that truly him? I didn't expect him to look much better. I'm not sure why, but I bit my bottom lip as I peered at him, my eyes falling to see his whole body then rising to see his face. Damn! He's stunning!
I saw him staring at me as well, but he averted as if he's bashful. I stared even deeper as he shifted his attention away from me while his cheeks are having a tint of blush. Oh, Mino! You're far too attractive for a man.
I'll confess that uncle is the most stunning and attractive man I've ever seen, but Mino isn't here to play games. He looks magnificent in his royal attire. Uncle provided him clothing, but I didn't thought that he can dress to kill.
He appeared to be a freaking charming prince whose power was to seduce ladies. His posture, his hair, and his alluring eyes seemed to have been made to fit him for royal attire. I can't take my eyes off his otherworldly splendor. I've never seen such a stunning and gorgeous man before.
"Aren't you going to get dressed?" his remark suddenly brought me back to my senses. Entrante! I instantly hugged myself as if someone was tugging on my clothes, only to discover that I hadn't clothed properly and that only a flimsy robe was blocking my body. Damn! Vreihya!
"Why are you staring at me like that, maniac?" I shouted, to which he smirked. Damn! Please, Mino, don't smirk! Especially now that you're so stunning!
Is this for real? A Vreihya Amely is dumbfounded by a man? Worst of all, it's with a mortal! "Me? A maniac? You looked at me as if you were stripping me!" he exclaimed, standing like a prince. I swiftly arched an eyebrow and stood up properly, and if I had previously hugged myself, I now crossed my arms as I looked at him more intently.
"Are you accusing me?" I inquired seriously, and he mirrored my gaze. "Yes, dear princess," he answered firmly, a smirk flashing to his lips. My eyes quickly warmed up because I was annoyed! I really despise his manner!
"What did you say?" I threateningly muttered to him. I can't stand it any longer and sometimes I just want to attack him! "I said-" he said slowly, fearlessly meeting my gaze.
Is he no longer terrified of me? "-yes! I am accusing you!" and I couldn't stop myself any longer. I instantly used my speed, and because he had left his door open, I pushed him, but he quickly hugged my waist. Because of the force and speed, he was knocked backwards on his bed, and I fell on top of him.
I swiftly used my strength to break free from his embrace and stood up while he stayed on his bed. "You! You have no respect for me!" I exclaimed, pointing at him, who was laying calmly on the bed, staring at me as though unconcerned with my rage. He's driving me crazy!
He simply dusted off his clothes, as if he didn't care about my seemingly erupting emotions. It's aggravating when he's paying attention! It irritates me that he is not listening! He's the only one who can make my blood flare like this!
"If I were you, I would get dressed, such an outfit is tempting, you know?" I quickly looked at my body as a result of what he said, and my eyes widened as my robe loosened and it appeared that only a tiny movement would expose everything. Because of my embarrassment, I was forced to embrace my body once more.
"I'll be back!" I could hardly speak as I turned around and walked away from him, thinking that I could strangle him with the string of my robe and even break his neck if I was outraged. I was going to open my room's door when I heard his faint murmur.
"She is, certainly, the goddess of beauty," I heard as I opened and hastily closed my door. I swiftly leaned against it, clutching my pounding chest. Damn! His words are soothing to my ears. I'm just used to being praised, but his compliment makes my heart leap wildly. I shook my head at the thought since I didn't want to think about it any longer!
In a matter of minutes, I was dressed and ready to fight again— I mean to avoid that mortal. I'm glad I haven't met him until I get downstairs.
I was about to go for a walk in the woods when I was stopped when I saw someone standing at the window with his back facing me. It is hard to deny that he is already yelling authority from his stance. Despite my confusion as to why he was here, I cheerfully called him.
"Uncle!" I immediately greeted him and he turned to me and opened his arms to offer a hug that I genuinely granted. "What? Has something happened yet?" he playfully asked, which irritated me immediately.
"Why don't the two of you just mate?" I sarcastically responded, slapping his back while we were still hugging. I immediately felt the jolt in his body, and he let go of our embrace and stroked his back as he hiss with pain.
"Your palm seemed to have smashed my back bones!" Uncle shouted angrily. "That's good! You inquired about something going on between as if it's not a serious thing!" I snarled as he continued to stroke his back. "There's no need to hit my back like you want me to vomit my lungs out!" he exclaimed violently, but I only smirked.
"Did you simply come here to annoy me?" I asked, raising an eyebrow at him. Mino has angered me to no end, and I hope my uncle won't add to my annoyance. Wait ! Where is that mortal? I couldn't feel his presence inside the palace. I glanced around for him right away.
"Missing him already?" uncle's words was shady, and I instantly glanced at him intently. "Yeah, my hands miss grabbing his neck! I'm going to choke him to death!" I exclaimed. I totally lose my royal manner whenever I am annoyed. "So, uncle, why are you here?" I instantly inquired.
I was immediately alarmed when his demeanor abruptly altered. Uncle's apparent seriousness, as if he's about to tell me something unpleasant, bothers me. "You must return, Vreihya," he stated solemnly. My brow twitched immediately. G o back? Why? My mission in this place isn't done yet, and it's considerably riskier to return there with the mortal, especially because he can't be left here alone.
My disease has never reappeared since he has been nearby. When he's by my side, the pain vanished without a trace. And how will we conceal his scent if we return once again?
"Why? Why do I have to return right away?" I asked. His jaw tightened, and I saw what appeared to be fury in his eyes. What occurred in the palace while I'm away?
"Vreihya, many of our local villagers are mysteriously disappearing; the queen and I believe this was done by other kingdoms in order to force us to reveal your mate!" he said calmly but bitterly. Because of what uncle said, my fist quickly tightened. They're already employing violence to uncover my mate's identity!
"Entrante! Why must they involve the villagers?" I exclaimed angrily. They do not need to involve our people. I couldn't help but worry for them. They truly desire chaos!
"We have to figure out a means for you to return with the mortal!" Uncle exclaimed instantly. "But how? He does have a fang, and the color of his eyes changes, but his mortal scent remains," I swiftly explained to uncle. He was taken aback and glanced at me.
"Wait, he has fangs and color changing eyes?" he inquired, surprised, and I nodded. "What happened?" he asked quickly. "My blood changed him uncle, he drank my blood but was cleansed by the moon goddess," uncle was even more startled by my explanation.
"Wait, the Goddess herself? What's going on?" he wondered, as if he was going nuts. "I don't know uncle!" I failed to respond. Is it necessary for him to know that Mino became the Goddess's vision? I still can't believe he was chosen despite his mortality.
"That mortal really surprises me!" I nodded with his statement. "Regardless of this shocking news, you still need to go back," he added.
"Your mother is very concerned about the villagers; if he has fangs and color-changing eyes, perhaps those are enough to hide his mortality," I immediately shook my head at uncle's remark, causing his brows to furrow. "We still have a problem uncle, his scent, I can still smell that he's mortal except when he-" my eyes widened as something flashed through my mind.
"Except when?" uncle inquired, as if he couldn't wait for me to respond. "Except when he drank my blood, I didn't smell him at the time, but the next day it returned," uncle's lips parted in response to what I said.
That's exactly what happened; when he drank my blood, his mortal scent vanished, and we ended up in the river. I could smell his scent again when he awoke the next morning.
"Then your blood is the key! Even if he loses his scent temporarily, we can go home now!" uncle said hastily. "He won't do it again, uncle!" I said sternly, and he was taken aback. I don't want to see how afraid he is with the effect of my blood on his body. I saw how he trembled and cried out in fear, and I didn't want to see it again.
"He doesn't have any choice Vreihya! You can't stay here for long!" uncle's strong statement. I'm also worried about our villagers and especially about mother but I can't let Mino experience that horror again! Maybe there was another way we could get him safely to the palace. I was in the middle of thinking when I suddenly smelled his scent again which was a sign that he was near.
What should I say to him? How can I persuade him to return to our palace? His life would be in danger, and I knew he'd be terrified once more. I can't always be with him when we return, and I can't guarantee his safety.
Uncle and I both sensed him emerge from his hiding place. Wait? My brow furrowed immediately because why couldn't we feel or smell him if he was right there?
Uncle and I both gazed at each other, as though wondering why we didn't feel him. How could he keep himself hidden from us? Mino, you are so full of surprises and it is difficult for me to think and grasp!
"I tried to conceal myself using the Goddess' power, but the effect was only temporary," Mino appeared to read our minds. "You use the what?" uncle asked, unable to grasp what Mino was saying. "Can someone explain to me why the Goddess of the Moon is bestowing powers on him?" he irritably asked the two of us.
"I am the Goddess' vision in this realm," Mino replied, and I noticed uncle's eyebrow rise at his response. "You're the what now?" he asked, not believing what Mino was saying. Surely he, like me, has questions about who this mortal truly is.
"I'll come with you!" my eyes widened as Mino spoke in front of me as if we were just going for a walk. Is he for real? Did he realize how risky it would be to return to the palace?
"The Goddess wants me to be near the vampires!" he replied quickly. Because of the remark of the mortal who hasn't lost his elegance on his attire, both uncle and I seem to have been cemented on the floor.
"I don't mind biting you again," he added calmly, his gaze fixed on me. I was stunned once more when his stunning blue eyes appeared. Those eyes, combined with his attire, are lethal. Uncle instantly drew me onto his back, as though to keep me safe from the mortal.
"Who are you really?" uncle said, holding me tightly as if protecting me from Mino.
What is going on? If uncle was encouraging me to get closer to him before, he now appears to want to separate me from Mino. What is going on? Mino, who are you really?
