Bab 53: 53. He missed her...

Charlotte couldn't hold back her tears. Her sunshine. Her joy. Her only meaning to life. The chatterbox that always had something to say or ask... Oh, her baby girl... She cried. 

Why? How could life be so cruel to such a young soul? She was innocent. This was all the fault of that irresponsible husband of hers! If he had not been greedy and selfish enough to have stolen Derek's money, they would have been enjoying their peace by now.

She cried more and more. Even after all the handwashing and gowning, all she could do was stand behind the glass wall and watch her daughter struggle to live.

Looking at all the tubes that had been attached to her made her stomach churn and her heart bleed. Her daughter didn't deserve any of this. She wished it was her and not Rory lying there.
