Bab 187: Heeding the summons

Kin decided to stay in an inn somewhere. Savine immediately called everyone for an emergency meeting. An hour later, Fest's rulers all gathered in the temple – Lucius, Wilfred, Vevian, and Dred. Eliseline and Lihar tagged along as well.

With everyone there, Savine brought out the royal decree. 

Immediately, everyone's faces turned sour. 

"Well, we've been expecting this," Lucius said.

"…" the others neither nodded nor shook their heads.

"Will you be going?" Lucius asked.

"Yeah. I probably have to."

"But young lady!" Wilfred said worriedly. 

Out of all of Savine's associates, the old man was probably the most loyal. Perhaps it was a trait that was ingrained into a family of servants.

"It's alright," she smiled. "I won't be in danger. I tried asking what the hearing will be about, but the messenger revealed nothing. I'll go there to see what's up. It might even be good for us if I go."
