Bab 115: Operation and the Balint family

The operation that Savine described went without a hitch. 

So effortlessly she cut into the flesh of men, revealing all the colorful organs protected by the bones. It was shocking to see so clearly and calmly the insides of a human laid bare, while a child, outwardly, cut off a white pulsating… thing out of Lord Balint's heart, humming to herself all the while, occasionally pointing out a thing or two.

As her student, Eliseline got to see everything unfold in front of her and though the angel described everything she was doing as clearly as possible, Eliseline had to admit she didn't even understand half of it. 

The different organs and what they did, different types of tissues, different areas of veins, cells… for Eliseline, who only knew flesh and bones, these new things were like a whole different world.

Still, she was very intrigued, so she committed them all to memory.
