Bab 227: Back Pressure

Lola Hussey didn't expect that Ethan Ainsley wasn't asleep.

Caught off guard being pulled down like this and being pressed under him, her first thought was:

Wow, you're so heavy!!

It felt like a mountain was pressing down on her, leaving her unable to move.

Ethan Ainsley sensed this and slightly arched his back, bending one leg into a small curve, confining her in his arms, his voice deep and rich, "Why are you here?"

Lola Hussey felt uncomfortable being pressed down like this, wanting to sit up but couldn't. She honestly said, "I didn't know when you arrived at the manor. I only found out after you left. Jones said you didn't eat lunch, so I brought you some food."

Just as she finished saying this,

she heard a sigh.

It came from Ethan Ainsley's mouth.

It was a sigh of satisfaction.

He cupped her face, leaned in, and kissed her forehead, "My Lola, you finally got it this time. I thought... "

I thought you wouldn't understand, that you wouldn't come.
