Bab 56: The expression gradually became horrifying

Not only the haters were dumbfounded.

Truth be told, Lola Hussey was pretty dumbfounded too.

While eating hotpot, she stared at her phone screen in a daze, her chopsticks in the tripe for over ten seconds without picking it up.

"Lola, your tripe is ready to eat. It'll overcook if you keep it in there."

Frankie Foster helped Lola pick up the tripe, then dipped it into his dry chili sauce and put it in his mouth: "Hmm, a bit overcooked. Stop looking at your phone, Lola. Focus on the hotpot, or Mrs. Winter will eat it all."

Sitting opposite, Emily Winter unscrewed the cap of her soda and took a sip: "We ordered two plates of tripe, and I only had two bites. Lola's been on her phone the whole time. Did the dog eat the rest?"

Frankie Foster: "..."

With his thick skin, Frankie did not feel embarrassed at all.

Even with his mouth feeling spicy and sweating, his chopsticks never stopped: "I'm sitting next to Lola, and I keep picking things out for her. I'm not eating it all."
