Bab 453: Drunk Tristan

"Why are you saying sorry? I was not even upset with you. I was upset with that stupid Noah who got all your attention the moment you arrived" Karl dropped his displeasure and turned to face Gwen.

"I was missing you and wanted to be the first one to see you as soon as you came, but Noah got all your attention," he said with a small pout.

Gwen smiled at his cute reaction and hugged him. "Still, I am sorry because I couldn't be there for you when you needed me" 

If it wasn't a work call, Gwen wouldn't have left in a rush the moment Karl arrived Skylar and it took her a while to join them at Noah's place.

Karl didn't say a word and just hugged her back. He wanted to soothe his unsteady heart which was messed up because of the marriage news.

Though he delayed the date for a month, still the uneasiness didn't vanish. Linda had managed to trap him in such a way that he didn't even realize he was getting played.
