Alice pursed her lips as she tried to fight back the tears welling in her eyes. After all that happened, he was still worried that he scared her or not.

She so wanted to deny it but subconsciously she ended up bobbing her head and before she could know it, Noah pulled her and made her sit on his lap.

Alice was caught off guard when Noah suddenly lifted her and she landed straight on his lap with his arms circling around her waist as he made sure she sat securely within his hold.

"I'm sorry" his voice slurred and he rested his head on her shoulder submitting himself to the bottle he emptied in his anger.

Alice blinked her eyes clueless about his action, but then her eyes fell on her surrounding. The number of bottles he finished until she found him was enough to shake his thoughts.

Bringing her hand up to the back of his head, she slowly brushed his hair and heard him groan.
