Bab 75: Tokyo: Hubby

The cast of Red Riding Hood: A Tale of a Wolf were to perform in the Meiji-za, or Meiji Theater. It holds both traditional and Western performances, providing entertainment since 1873.

The production team also decided to do something fun for this performance. Most of the actors don't know Japanese, and the performance would be in English as always.

But they would be dressed in 1920s Japanese clothing, during the Taisho era. Meaning that the women would be wearing kimonos and the men wearing yukatas.

The only one with a different clothing would be Detective Holzfaller, who must wear the standard Taisho period uniform. These uniforms may resemble the gakuran at times, only with more adornments and pockets, as well as holders for pistols and batons.

When Leon and Wolfe revealed that they can speak Japanese quite fluently, the staff also had idea for them to recreate their famous scenes in a Japanese version at a press conference and fan event.
