Bab 185: CH 173: Martial Soul City
Normally, you would think that the carriage that they were on would flip from how rough Ali would be. But well, the carriage was of high quality, and Ali had subtly used his soul power to keep the carriage standing.
And even though the carriage was sound proof, he had also used it to stop the voice from going outside. He was already a soul king who was nearly a soul emperor, this much was nothing to him.
But to not seem suspicious, Ali still returned to his own carriage after a few hours. After cleaning himself of the smell of sex of course. The girls were still suspicious of him though.
However, since everybody thought that crown prince Xue Qinghe was a guy and he didn't have a girl accompanying him in his carriage, they just thought of it as being paranoid.
Because of Tang San's second martial soul not being revealed and his identity as the son of Tang Hao was kept a secret, there weren't any surprise attacks on them.
So with no risk of assassination, there wasn't a problem on the trip. Ali still spent his time with his lovers, but since there were even less things to do than normal, he was incredibly bored.
<Can we just get a moment of silence for how much of a bullshit that fight was? You're telling me that a level 80 soul douluo struggled against a bunch of level 40 kids?
And not just that, they managed to injure him? I wanna slap the goddamn shit out of the dumbass that approved of this. With a soul douluo's strength, even if it's just a support type, it would only take a single punch to turn them into meat pastes.
And Tang San has the balls to say that he would have a chance of defeating him if his Hao Tian Hammer had soul rings attached to it? Bitch, you better get that bullshit outta here>
Also, Yu Xiaogang was with the group unlike in the original where he went to see Dong'er to convince her to not kill Tang San. Tang San's identity was a secret, and even if it wasn't, Dong'er wouldn't care about Yu Xiaogang at all.
Unlike in the original where she fell in love with him only because of the plot, she never fell in love with him and was in a relationship with Ali already. Why in the flying fuck would a princess like her fall in love with him, a trash, when everybody cares about only power?
Get that bullshit outta here. Sure, this is a fantasy world, but use some fucking logic and common sense. It's like a princess fell in love with a beggar.
You could argue if he was at least handsome, but he wasn't that either. He was average at best, and even ugly. Anyway, after some time, they all finally reached Martial Soul City.
While looking outside, Ali couldn't stop the fond smile that formed on his lips upon seeing the happy citizens. The city was as beautiful as always, with pretty trees and well attended bushes which were in the city for decoration.
The streets were as clean as always, with the building not losing in beauty at all. In the distance, the Could be seen, as grand as always. Having finally come back, he couldn't help but notice just how much he had missed this place, Dong'er, Nana, uncle Guan, uncle Mei, grandpa Daoliu old man Jin Èyú, and everybody else.
In the years that he had lived in the Martial Soul City, he had unconsciously made quite a few friends for him. There wasn't anybody his age since everyone was a kid to him back then, but he still valued his friendship with those old goats.
He had forgotten how many times he had sneaked into the Douluo Palace so that he could get drunk with his drinking buddy, Jin Èyú, the Golden Crocodile douluo. Obviously, Dong'er had caught him quite a few times, and had scolded the sanity out of him, but he still wouldn't stop having fun.
"What's with that face, baby?" Erlong beside him asked as they focused on the fond look in his eyes for a few moments in silence. Ali glanced at them and chuckled when he noticed the eyes of his lovers were on him :"It's nothing. You will know later. For now, it's a surprise."
After reaching the place they were going to stay in, Ali didn't immediately rush to see Dong'er and Nana. He was dying to see both of them, but he still wanted to keep his identity a secret for a little longer just for fun.

While they were all sitting on the seats of the arena, Flender, who had gone to check out who their opponents were, came back with a conflicted face. They all got up as Tang San asked :"Dean, who are our opponents in the first round?"
"One bad news and one good news." Flender spoke up as he looked at them all :"Which one do you prefer to listen to first?"
"Bad news first." Dai Mubai answered and Flender nodded before explaining :"The bad news is your opponent is Chi Huo (Blazing) school."
All of them were surprised as they looked at each other. They met and fought against Chi Huo (Blazing) school pretty early in the previous round, the qualifying rounds, as well, yet they're going to face them in the first round in the finals.
"Why is it Chi Huo (Blazing) school again?" Tang San spoke up in confusion as Oscar nodded :"What are the odds?" Ali beside him shrugged :"The chances are really low, but it's still possible. But seriously, this is a little surprising."
Yu Xiaogang :"Flender, what about the good news?"
Oscar :"Right, what about it?"
Flender :"The good news is... Hahahaha! Chi Huo (Blazing) school gave up the finals!"
"What?!" Everyone called out in surprise, even Ali, Erlong and Zhuqing. The three looked at each other in confusion as Qin Ming smiled :"So, we've skipped the first two rounds."
"Are we entering the top 10 without even dueling?" Ning Rongrong grabbed Xiao Wu's hands happily while Ali scratched his chin in confusion :"But how can this be?
There's no way in hell that Wu'er of all people would surrender. She was even bragging in the whole way here how she was going to finally defeat me. Even if her school decided it, she still wouldn't agree. So what is going on?"
While Ali and the others were confused, the voice of an announcer was heard :"The fight between Shen Feng (Godwind) school and Long Kui school is going to begin. Please be on the field."
As his voice fell, the members of Shen Feng (Godwind) school walked into the arena from the lounge. However, it wasn't only the members of Shen Feng (Godwind) school, a few members of Chi Huo (Blazing) school were also among them.
Ali had a look of realization as Wu'er smiled smugly at him :'Right, I remember now! Chi Huo (Blazing) school decided to give up in the finals and instead a few members such as Wu'er And brother Wushuang temporarily joined them!
However, this doesn't make that much sense. Unlike in the original, not only are Wu'er and Feng Xiaotian not together, he even hates her for choosing me instead of him. Especially since I used him like a tool to get her. So how come they actually teamed up???'
"What?!" The members of Shrek school and the members of other schools let out surprised voices as Tang San voiced out everybody's question :"Why did students from Chi Huo (Blazing) school and Shen Feng (Godwind) school appear together?"
"What's going on?" Xiao Wu questioned in confusion as she glanced at her mother, Erlong who shrugged :"Don't look at me, dear, we don't know what's going on either. She didn't tell anything about this to any of us, right?"
"Yeah." Both Ali and Zhuqing nodded as Flender fixed his glasses :"I'll go and ask the committee."
While the two teams stood apart from each other and the other teams watched, Flender came back after a little while :"Sigh, the committee approved their personal transfer.
They went around the rules. The rules don't allow schools to change their participants during the fight. But this doesn't mean participants can't change their school temporarily. Martial Soul Hall must have a secret agreement with New Shen Feng. Hence, they allowed New Shen Feng to do so."
Once the fight had started, it could hardly be called a fight. It was a rather one sided slaughter where the other school couldn't do anything but wait and get beaten up.
They were quite strong themselves, with four level 40 soul ancestors. But since Chi Huo (Blazing) school and Shen Feng (Godwind) school had combined into one, all seven of their participants were level 40 soul ancestors. So in the end, their opponents didn't have that much of a chance in fighting against them.
"Did they... Win?" Dai Mubai spoke with a shocked tone as Ma Hongjun and Oscar hugged each other with fatty stuttering :"I-isn't this too fast?"
"Did they pass three strokes?" Oscar questioned back with fear while hugging him. Even Ali was a little surprised at how quickly the fight ended.
Sure, something like this was nothing to him, but seeing another team do it when there was only a little difference was still surprising. Wu'er who was looking at him also noticed what was going through his head.
She smirked smugly as she gave an upward nod and hummed softly. Seeing her smug face, Ali couldn't help but chuckle as he gently clapped for her while she turned around and walked to her teammates :'Hehehe, she's really cute when she's acting smug.
By the way, why the fuck is the referee or announcer... Su Yuntao??? He's weaker than anybody present here... Oh, right, he must've been promoted since he was the one who discovered and recruited me into the Martial Soul Hall.
But still, to be promoted to the point where he could come to Martial Soul City??? Well... I guess I am a very important person, so it's understandable for him to get this much raise.'
Su Yuntao grabbed Feng Xiaotian's hand and raised it as he announced :"Shen Feng (Godwind) school won!" And their teammates who weren't in the arena cheered.
Dai Mubai turned serious as he analyzed the situation :"Feng Xiaotian only used three soul skills, Huo Wushuang used two soul skills, while Huo Wu didn't even use her first soul skill..."
Yu Xiaogang nodded from beside Flender :"Even though there's a slight gap between the two teams, Shen Feng (Godwind) school defeated their rivals within less than a few minutes. This rarely happens in finals."
"I wonder who our next opponents are... Could it be New Shen Feng...?" Oscar spoke with a hopeless and scared tone as the New Shen Feng walked out of the arena.
"Heh, well ain't this interesting?" Ali folded his arms in front of his chest with an amused smile as Zhuqing beside him nodded :"Mhm, this was a smart choice. This decision was probably made by sister Wu'er.
She knew that neither Chi Huo (Blazing) school nor Shen Feng (Godwind) school would ever stand a chance against our school on their own, so she proposed to temporarily team up. Quite smart of sister Wu'er."

While they were sitting in a room, Flender fixed his glasses as he gave the news :"Next round, Xing Luo Imperial School."
"Xing Luo?" Hearing the names, everyone was a little surprised, while Dai Mubai got serious. Ali, Erlong and Zhuqing on the other hand, also got serious.
Erlong didn't word it out, but the anger that suddenly radiated out of her and Ali wasn't something that could be ignored. They both clenched their fists and gritted their teeth at the name of the empire that made Zhuqing, their dear family member, suffer so much.
