Bab 45: Mysterious Man (Chapter 45)

In the previous Chapter 44,

Adeline shifted slightly, wincing again. "Also, my car needs gas. Ask Danny to take care of it."

"Will do," Robert replied before pausing. "What do you think about James' sudden appearance?"

Adeline frowned, her mind racing. "I'm not sure. Hugo never mentioned anyone, but the necklace James is wearing matches mine. He must be important to Hugo, or else he wouldn't have that necklace."

Doctor Montana, who had re-entered the room, chimed in. "It's odd, though. His sudden appearance reminds me of Joe's situation. I wonder if they know each other."

Adeline sighed. "Time will tell. Just keep me informed about both of them."

Robert and Doctor Montana exchanged glances, agreeing silently. "We'll update you daily," Robert said.

Before leaving, Robert smirked slightly. "But how are you planning to get to the washroom?"

Adeline chuckled softly despite the pain. "I'm not sure yet."
