Bab 189: Cries very pretty

Ivo's new optic matched the whiskey colour of his organic eye perfectly. It was possible to change the colours of optics at will; through a workstation or directly through the display overlay projected over their field of vision. But that was for Ivo to decide if he wanted to.

"How are you feeling? Do you remember what happened?"

Ivo sat up in bed with a pained expression. He winced and rubbed a hand down his bare back. Sore from laying in the same position for so long. They should have thought about that and switched him around.

"The school, I--," he blinked, "I was shot."

Davi's sigh of relief turned into a chuckle, he lowered his head over Ivo's knees to hide his smile.

"I'm glad me being shot is so amusing to you," Ivo said, and ran his fingers over the back of Davi's head. The fingers of his left hand.

"Holy shit." He jumped backwards on the bed, examining his fingers and arm with a perplexed look.
