Bab 8: Chapter 8 : Battles Begin
After arriving at heavens arena, we register ourselves and our strength were tested. We are given a ticket directly to go to 50th floor, after reaching the 50th floor we immediately registered ourselves for a fight. My first fight was with a very tall man almost 7 foot but i ended the fight with one knock. Similar things were happening in the arena for Baise as well.
By afternoon we cleared all the way to the 190th floor and i faced against a man in his 50s who was wearing a jitsu clothing. I knocked him off the arena like the usual one punch and collected the ticket to 200th floor. After reaching the 200th floor and getting a good explanation of the rules from the lift employee of heavens arena i decided to register for a fight.
After the registration and getting a private room on 200th floor, i decided to call the day and get myself an ample rest. I reached my room and laid down on the bed, removed my mask reverted myself to original face and build.I came in front of my mirror and checked my handsome face with light green eyes and light skin. My blonde hair is slicked backwards in varying lengths. I needed a small shave to shave off the subtle beard hair. After a long shower and changing to robes i had room service for my dinner.
For dinner i had caviar and a roast chicken along with some port wine. I had two desserts as well fruit caramel pudding and cheese cake. After a while i sat on the sofa and read about the rules again and the fighter details on the 200th floor. Weapons are allowed to be used in the fight. Death match are allowed as well when both fighters agree to the battle where you gamble your life away.
So winning 10 matches in a row gives me the right to challenge a floor master and losing 4 matches in row disqualifies you from the 200th floor. After winning 10 matches i can challenge a floor master and i should fight every 90 days or else again i would be disqualified. Being a Floor Master means having one's own floor. A Floor Master can also participate in Battle Olympia, a biennial tournament where the victor is allowed to live on the 251st floor in an exclusive penthouse.
The next day, at the reception i asked when can i have an immediate fight and the employee told in a week i can compete against Kanjiru. I also asked the employee if i could fight with my mask on and she said its not an issue at all. Biase also registered for a fight and her opponent was none other than Kastro and i told her that she needs to continue her training and be prepared as i warned her that he is no easy person to defeat.
After seven long days the most awaited fight of mine in Heaven's arena begins and my opponent is Kanjiru. If i am not wrong he is a person who can conjure tentacles from behind his back. These tentacles are powerful enough to destroy even the arena floors.As i put on my v for vendetta mask and walk towards the arena i can hear loud roars of noise from the crowd either booing or saying some gibberish words.
As i wait for my opponent to come to the stage my adrenaline is pumping at full horse power and there is smile and smirk under my ask. I decided to finish this fight under the shortest time as possible. After a minute Kanjiru walked towards the stage and was smiling at me like if i was a finished dead man standing up for his last fight. The referee came and explained about points awarded for clean, critical and down points in the fight. After his explanation i took ten steps backwards and raised my right hand towards my opponent.
Slowly i started releasing my nen aura and just like a flash flood my aura exploded and at that moment Kanjiru realized he fucked up big time. I also activated my glove to Demoness of Affliction and started got read to fight. The moment referee mentioned start i started the using the ailment to cause pain and disease to the opponent. Kanjiru at that moment he conjured his tentacles he started sneezing and coughing uncontrollably. He became sick and tired suddenly and he fell to the ground. His nose started bleeding and he had an unbearable headache and he looked like someone who should be in the bed and get treated. Kanjiro looked to the referee and surrounded the match. The referee was also shocked to find that the battle just started like fifty seconds ago and its over in less than a minute. There was a silence all around the crowd and people were whispering or were wondering what happened in a short period of time.
At that moment in another side where crowd was watching the match few fighters were looking solemnly at the winner John with his mask on. They have come to a conclusion that this fighter was very strong and not at all easy as the other fighters.
