She genuinely liked Princess Naomi. There was no doubt about that. She was thoughtful, kind, and hospitable. However, she could not say the same about Prince Edward.

Although he was charming, pleasing, and entertaining the entire time she conversed with him, she still felt odd about the man. Maybe what she heard about him influenced her perception of him, but her gut instinct insisted that she be cautious.

"Where have you been?" Liam quickly asked when she entered the ballroom after her unexpected encounter with the bride's parents. "I was calling your phone, but you were not responding."

She could see the worry lines on his forehead as he quickly moved closer, wrapping his arms around her waist protectively. She did not notice she had been gone for a considerable time.
