His lungs were screaming from exhaustion, but he forced himself to his limits. He would not allow his legs to give in until he had reached the finish line.

Age was just a number for him. He intended to stay in shape and healthy for as long as possible, knowing his son was still incapable of taking his place. 

But then again, in light of the new development, he could not help but think of the line of succession. He could already see a massive problem when the truth came out. He had an older daughter.

"Excuse me, Your Majesty." One of his guards, following behind him, caught up with him to interrupt his jog. "Major Elric is already waiting for you back at the palace." His man informed him, which compelled him to slow down.

He had informed his staff to notify him immediately if the Major had arrived. He had an urgent business with him that could not wait. After last night, he knew he had to act quickly.
