She was afraid to mingle with the crowd, knowing that one of them might recognize her. She had silently rehearsed what she would say if the truth came out. But she believed no matter how much time she practiced. She would never be ready.
"Sarah, aren't you going to save Luisa from Elvira?" Evan concernedly expressed while his eyes followed the Queen until she reached her daughter.
It had been her initial instinct. She should run to her daughter and protect her. But she stopped herself, thinking that if her daughter chose this life, Luisa had to see firsthand what she would be up against if she stayed in this place and married the Prince.
Unfortunately, she could not protect her daughter forever as much as she wanted. Luisa was old enough to decide for herself. Besides, her daughter would only think she was controlling her life if she kept standing in the way of her happiness.
