Howland invited Rosie to enter the dining hall together. Aslan had arrived first, and everyone stood up to greet Howland and Rosie. When the two siblings had sat down, they all sat down as well.
As usual, the king and queen would arrive last.
"Did you hear the news of Baron Ludwig's loss?" asked the Duchess, who was Rosie's aunt.
"Oh, yes… I heard the news this morning," someone replied.
"It was said that he was in debt to Duke Aamon. Even his textile business went bankrupt."
"Oh, that's too bad… even though he has two daughters who had just their debutante party. They are good children. It's unfortunate because it will be difficult to find a gentleman who wants to marry them."
