Bab 51: Swift Death exposed

"Swift Death...."

Roy called out to his new maid

"Yes?"

"Here. Take it."

She turned around, only to see him summoning out of thin air a shiny thing and throwing it her way.

"Ow!" She grabbed it, but it was so heavy that she fell on her butt. So, a yell of pain escaped her little red lips.

Opening her eyes, she saw what it was.

'Is this really happening to me?'

She disbelieved what she saw for a moment.

But the reality was that on her lap laid a chest full of gold.

Her heart warmed, and her eyes swam with tears.

Her hardened expression shattered as she looked up at her new master. "Are you really giving it to me?"

Roy merely gave her a silent nod.

Under his gaze, her lashes fluttered, batting up and down, causing the tears shimmering in her eyes to drop down.

If anyone were to see Swift Death's current state, they would think he had done something facetious to her.

Recognition dawned on Roy's face.
